Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux were quick to share news of their plans to marry, but the actress is in no hurry to give the world a glimpse of her engagement ring.

It's been 11 days since Theroux popped the question Aug. 10, but photographers still haven't been able to get a shot of Aniston's rock - largely because she's been deliberately hiding it when she's in public.

When the paparazzi spotted the former "Friends" star last week in North Carolina, where she's filming her new movie "We're The Millers," Aniston turned the ring around to hide the stone inside her fist, revealing only a plain gold band to the photographers.

The actress has also been keeping her left hand in her pocket as another method of shielding the ring from view.

Her habit of hiding the new jewelry began immediately. When photographers caught her on set the Monday after Theroux proposed, Aniston kept her hand under a white towel, obscuring the entire ring.

Though the world hasn't seen the ring yet, sources have spilled details on what it looks like.

"It's a huge emerald-cut diamond," a source said. "It's a rectangle with tapered diamond baguettes on the sides. It's beautiful."

Insiders also dished about where the proposal took place: the Blue Hill restaurant in Manhattan's Greenwich Village, where the couple was celebrating Theroux's 41st birthday.

An official confirmation of the engagement came that Sunday from a representative for Theroux.

"Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage," the statement said.

Reports also said that just days before he proposed, Theroux took Aniston's BFF Courteney Cox and friend Laura Dern to dinner to get their blessing before asking Jen to marry him.
