Five new high schoolers are slated for the new season of Glee, and TVLine has revealed the actors set to play them. Among new characters this season are Roderick, Spencer, Jane, Mason and Madison, who are high school students at McKinley High.

Roderick will be played by actor Noah Guthrie and is described as the show's latest "underdog." The character reportedly has a voice like legendary soul singer Otis Redding. Guthrie achieved viral success in 2012 for his YouTube cover of LMFAO's Sexy and I Know It, a video that amassed over 22 million views.

Spencer is set to be played by Marshall Williams, who was a finalist on Canadian Idol. Spencer is a football star who also has a good voice and is a very comfortable and confident gay man.

Next up is Jane, played by actress Samantha Ware. Jane is an ambitious student who was not able to join the Dalton Warblers due to the club traditionally including only men, so she joins the New Directions at McKinley. She apparently does not have a sense of humor. Ware has been seen onstage in The Lion King and The Book of Mormon.

Then there's twin siblings Mason (Billy Lewis Jr.) and Madison (Laura Dreyfuss), who are reportedly oddballs but very positive. The TVLine report says that Mason gives off a "gay vibe" even though he isn't gay. Both Lewis and Dreyfuss are newbies to television, though they have each been theater performers previously.

Glee is slated to return for its sixth and final season on Friday, Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
