Wynonna Judd's husband and drummer, Michael Scott "Cactus" Moser, sustained a serious motorcycle accident on Saturday.

That day, the couple went for a motorcycle ride together on separate bikes prior to their scheduled show in Deadwood, S.D. Mosser collided with an oncoming vehicle, and his left leg was "severed at the scene," Judd's rep told People magazine.

Moser, 55, was taken to a hospital in Rapid City, S.D., where doctors had to amputate above the knee.

Though his injuries are serious, they are non-life-threatening, reported People magazine.

Judd's rep also said the doctors performed surgery on one of Moser's hands.

Judd was not involved in the accident.

"The outpouring of prayer and support from friends, family and fans has been a blessing to both Cactus and I. Cactus is a champion. I love him deeply and I will not leave his side," Judd said in Sunday's statement to People magazine.

The singer has postponed her scheduled concerts in Canada.

Judd, 48, and Moser were wed in June during a ceremony at the singer's Leiper's Fork, Tenn. home.

Before tying the knot, the duo had been dating since late 2009.

Judd has had her fair share of health crises. In March 2010, doctors found blood clots in her lungs, complications from surgery she had to repair damage to her stomach muscles. Four months later, Judd was involved in a head-on collision while in Salt Lake City for a performance. Those two experiences left her "more determined than ever to commit to a healthier lifestyle," she told People magazine.

Once she recovered, Judd lost 55 lbs. and reunited with her mother, Naomi, for the first 'Judds' tour in 10 years.
