The NBC drama will return before the winter is out, according to Entertainment Weekly, making its second season debut on Feb. 23.

The series resumed filming in Albuquerque on Nov. 10, adding two more cast members in the process - Merle Dandridge as Gwen and Adam Rodriguez as Dr. Joey Chavez. The latter will play a trauma surgeon while Gwen will be a paramedic and Jordan's (Jill Flint) best friend.
Last time viewers saw the San Antonio Medical Center's late night docs, Jordan and TC (Eoin Macken) were not in great shape. Asides from the problems of rekindling their former romance, Jordan was being investigated by the police for the death of a patient while TC was starting to crumble under the knowledge that his actions killed his brother (see video below).
According to Macken, writers will have plenty of time to carefully unravel the doctors' storylines.
"The @NBCNightShift gonna be around for a long time I think," Macken informed a fan.
Find out what's next for Jordan, TC, and the rest of the ER staff when The Night Shift airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
