'Arrow' Season 3 Spoilers: General Matthew Shrieve To Be Introduced In Upcoming Episode [VIDEO]
A new character will coming on board Arrow's third season in episode 14, as Marc Singer joins the crew in the role of General Matthew Shrieve.
Den of Geek reported that the actor would be guest starring in Arrow as the General. Singer has been known for his role as V on The Beastmaster. According to the report he will appear as part of a flashback set in Hong Kong.
Here's the official description for the character:
"In the DC Comics, Matthew Shrieve is the leader of a group known as the Creature Commandos. In Arrow he willplay a significant role in the latter portion of the season's flashback storyline."
Slade To Return In Upcoming Episode Of Arrow
In the promo for the mid-season premiere of the series, somebody is heard saying Oliver is dead, as the camera pans atop the mountain top, where the duel between Ghul and Oliver took place, showing Oliver's limp body on a rock. That's about all the preview gives away about what fans can expect from the next episode, titled Left Behind, which is to air on January 21.
In an interview, Guggenheim spoke about what fans can expect from the show now onward, and suggested that Roy will be stepping it up after Oliver's loss, in the upcoming episodes.
"One of the things I was very straight with Colton about is I don't think we serviced his character quite as much as we would have liked in the firt half of seaosn 3," he said. "I'll say the stuff that he's got in episodes 10, 11, and 12, it's pretty dang gangbusters. There's one scene in episode 11 between him and John Barrowman that I think is some of his finest work on the show."
TVLine reports, as predicted, the upcoming episode will be very emotional and will take its toll on Felicity. It will be especially dramatic as Oliver confessed his love for her while dying, and this season began with hope for the coupe in general.
Speaking about episode 10 to the publication Rickards had previously revealed that she just wrapped filming "a sad moment" which was draining for her. Guggenheim also spoke about David Ramsey's character breaking down in the episode, and how that would be exceptionally heart rending for many fans. Guggeneheim said that the scene Ramsey "shot what I would describe as his most emotional scene.... David breaks your heart with his performance."
It has also been revealed that Count Vertigo (Peter Stormare) will be returning in Left Behind.
