Anderson Cooper & Boyfriend Back Together Again? Video Leak Of Couple In Croatia Taken Down [PHOTOS]
A video emerged on Aug. 21 of Anderson Cooper's reconciliation with Ben Maisani less than two weeks after Daily Mail posted exclusive images of Cooper's longterm boyfriend kissing another man in New York. The footage was later taken down that same day though some viewers did get a glimpse of it beforehand.
The video showed Cooper preparing to board a yacht with Maisani. The pair is joined on a walk to the boat with Bravo television host Andy Cohen and a mystery blonde that looks like Kelly Ripa.
Last week, Cooper tweeted a photograph of himslef with Ripa in Croatia. Reports indicated that Ripa was by his side to console the news anchor days after the photos surfaced of Maisani with another man.
Radar Online posted exclusive photos of Cooper with Maisani on the yacht taken from the video before it was removed.
The website reported that the video of the group sailing around the exclusive island of Hvar was taken on Saturday, Aug.18. A local reporter told the website that the group "came into Dubrovnik on August 18 around 11 p.m. (local time). When they docked, they immediately wanted to go see the Old Town of Dubrovnick."
Daily Mail posted the exclusive images of Maisani kissing and holding hands with another man on Sunday, Aug. 12. Life & Style reported that Cooper and Maisani were on vacation in Croatia when the photos surfaced.
"Anderson was with Ben in Croatia when he was told about the photos," a source told the magazine. "They were on a yacht. They flew to Croatia on [Saturday] August 11, one day after the photos were taken. Anderson's upset - who wouldn't be?"
Either way, Anderson "was furious when he saw those photos. They caught him completely off-guard," a source told The National Enquirer. "Anderson's shattered. He felt secure enough with Ben that he took the bold step of coming out as gay this year."
Despite Maisani being around attractive gay men at Eastern Bloc, the gay bar he owns in New York City, Cooper "believed he could trust Ben to stay faithful to him," added the source.
The 45-year-old ended their engagement and cancelled their rumored September wedding, according to several reports. The daytime talk show host has never discussed his private life except when he came out in an open letter to Daily Beast in July.
"The fact is, I'm gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn't be more happy," he said. At the time, the letter did not address Cooper's relationship status with Maisani, but he did write "I love, and I am loved,"
Cooper has yet to confirm if he and Maisani are still together.
