The oft-absent father warned Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) to stay out of his troubles with Malcolm Clarke, but VanCamp's character follows orders worse than an inquisitive toddler. Thanks to Emily's actions during "Atonement," Amanda Clarke and Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) will have to hole up together while daddy dearest cleans up his offspring's latest mess during "Epitaph" (see sneak peek below).

All three of the characters, however, will be on edge over more than just David's (James Tupper) enemy. Unstable to begin with, the trio will become even more explosive as they each look to place blame for Daniel's (Josh Bowman) death.

"That becomes a vital debate between Emily and Victoria going forward: Who's to blame for what happened to Daniel?" teased showrunner Sunil Nayar, according to TV Line. "One of the things we wanted was for everyone to have a small hand in what could happen. Emily was going to get Kate back to the house regardless, but Victoria did get the wheels in motion. And David, obviously, is the one who brought this threat to town in the first place. Our whole world is to blame for what happened to Daniel."
