NFL rookie Johnny Manziel garnered a lot of hype in his first professional season, but unfortunately the Cleveland Browns QB had more fumbles than anything else on and off the field.

Johnny Manziel Reflects On His First Professional Season

Manziel caught a tough break during his first professional season and at the top of the list is definitely the hamstring injury he suffered during his second professional start against the Carolina Panthers on Dec. 21.

The rookie was removed from the game and ESPN reported after the game that Manziel said he "felt a little tight in my hamstring" when he got up from being knocked down. He took a big hit.

Another cringe-worthy moment for the rookie was definitely when the Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis called him "a midget" during a radio interview.

Cleveland reported on the incident and revealed exactly what Lewis said.

"You'll get a little bit more movement if Manziel's the quarterback. The thing that they did against Buffalo. But other than that, no, that doesn't impact you at all. You've got to defend the offense. You don't defend the player, particularly a midget," he shared, but he did later issue an apology, in which he shared, "I apologize to Johnny and the Browns and all the fans in Cleveland. It was just a poor remark. I really didn't mean anything by it."

Manziel was also involved in an alleged assault of a fan, which ESPN reported on after obtaining a police report that was filed in regard to it. Manziel's agent Erik Burkhardt released a statement though stating the assault was not true.

On Dec. 12 it was reported though by Cleveland Scene that the fan, Chris Gonos, reportedly issued an apology on Facebook to Manziel. The site credits Twitter user @BIZ_NICK_ for screenshotting the apology and posting it on Twitter.

Another horrible moment during the rookie's first season was actually his first professional start. Manziel started against the Cincinnati Bengals on Dec. 14 and they shutout Manziel and the rest of the Browns with a final score of 30-0.

Manziel performed terribly, getting sacked three times and intercepted twice. Plus, he only went for 10-of-18 for 80 yards and he even had Bengals players mocking his signature money sign. It was a rough game for the rookie, but NFL did report after that game that Manziel said, "I needed to play better."

Which moments from Manziel's rookie season do you think were the worst?
