Nicole Kidman's V Magazine Photo Shoot Bares Bum & Bust, Discusses Tom Cruise & Sexuality (PHOTO, VIDEO)
Actress Nicole Kidman posed topless and exposed her rear end for the cover of V Magazine's "Travel Issue," taking the daring turn in the racy photo shoot to promote her upcoming film, "The Paperboy."
The movie was reported to be the most-discussed film at this year's Cannes Film Festival. Kidman's character, Charlotte, is very sexual and in one scene, she is choked by another character during sex, with the actress actually sustaining real-life bruises from the filming.
In V Magazine's pictorial spread, the 45-year-old sports big, tousled blonde hair and models clothing that her housewife character in "The Stepford Wives" would usually not be caught in.
In one image, she is lying on her back wearing a matching red lace bra and panty set with a blood red fur vest; in another frame she bares her cleavage in a flesh-colored bra. Huffington Post ran the sexy images in a photo gallery.
In "The Paperboy," the "Moulin Rouge" actress stars in a controversial scene where she urinates on a charcter played by former Disney star Zac Efron. Lee Daniels, the movie's director, discussed why they filmed the scene in an interview with GQ and in the V Magazine's cover story, Kidman discussed what it was like to pee on Efron.
"I didn't think [it] was that weird, because I was in character. All of that made total sense to me. I just went for it and didn't overthink it," she said.
She also admitted that she "probably had a strong sexuality as a child," and that it may have been caused by reading mature books at a young age.
"That informs all that yearning and wanting things, and the hormones that are running through you at a really early age - they all started to surge because of the things I was reading," she told the magazine.
As for her return to acting after her divorce from Tom Cruise, she said, "If you're being completely drained in your personal life and you're never being nourished there, it's very hard to make it work."
The Oscar-winner is currently married to country singer Keith Urban. The couple have two daughters together.
"The Paperboy" is a film adaptation of a novel bearing the same title written by Peter Dexter. Kidman's Charlotte works feverishly to help a man convicted of murder get off of death row. After his release, he marries Charlotte; he later murders his wife and then commits suicide. Daniels directed "Monster's Ball" and "Precious." The film was produced by Pedro Almodovar and also stars Matthew McConaughey.
"The Paperboy" arrives in theaters on Oct. 5, 2012 while V Magazine's "Travel Issue" starring Nicole Kidman arrives on newsstand August 30th.
