Vikings has a new king, but one who never wished for such power.

Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) became the unwilling King of Denmark when he dispatched King Horick (Donal Logue) at the conclusion of season 2, and the warriors newfound power will bring a boatload of trouble.

"Power is always dangerous," Ragnar warns Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) in a season 3 promo (see video below). "It attracts the worst and corrupts the best. I never asked for power. Power is only given to those who are prepared to lower themselves to pick it up."

Rganar's new station, however, will give him the manpower to explore like never before; to launch an attack against the fortified city of Paris.

"The first scene starts out off with all the trouble that power causes," Fimmel said at the 2014 San Diego Comic Con, according to Nerd Repository. "I think throughout this year it really becomes alive, how hard it is to be a leader and all the sacrifices you have to make and all that sort of stuff."
