Nothing will be going according to Klaus and Rebekah's plan when The Originals returns to The CW this month.
No Romance For Klaus On 'The Originals' In 2015
With Rebekah (Claire Holt) now in a new and unexpected body (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will be tasked with both protecting his daughter and finding his sister when the series continues with its second season.
Then of course there is Mikael (Sebastian Roche), who is sure to stir up some trouble.
'The Originals' Hookup Declared One Of 2014's Sexiest Moments
On Wednesday Dread Central revealed The CW's official synopsis for Gonna Set Your Flag On Fire, which will be the tenth episode of the season:
"WHEN TWO SIDES COLLIDE — With Vincent (guest star Yusuf Gatewood) on the loose and hellbent on revenge, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) brings Cami (Leah Pipes) to the safe house as he and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) return to the compound. Hayley and Jackson (guest star Nathan Parsons) devise a plan to bring the vampires and werewolves together to consider a truce, but tensions grow when Vincent places a spell on the compound, trapping the two sides together.
Meanwhile, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) grows concerned when Rebekah fails to show up at the safe house, prompting Klaus to confront Kaleb (guest star Daniel Sharman) for answers. Lastly, after accepting her mother’s offer to jump into a new body, Rebekah (guest star Maisie Richardson-Sellers) turns to former Harvest girl Cassie (guest star Natalie Dreyfuss) for help when she finds herself trapped inside an insane asylum.
Danielle Campbell and Charles Michael Davis also star. Rob Hardy directed the episode written by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson."
The fact that there's no mention of Klaus and Hayley's daughter, Hope (Alexandria Collins), suggests there won't be much of the little girl in the 2015 premiere, though producer Michael Narducci has assured fans that the child will appear more during the second half of the season. There's nothing on Mikael either, which means his vengeance might not be sought in the first episode of the year.
The Originals returns on The CW for the remainder of the second season Monday, Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
