The drama surrounding Ava's (Maura West) infant daughter has been intense, and it may not be over just yet on General Hospital.

Jamie's Paternity Is Revealed

Ava had a pregnancy which was complicated by false labor thanks to Sabrina (Teresa Castillo), as well as her need to hide out from Sonny (Maurice Bernard), who had promised to kill her once she gave birth. Unfortunately for her, Nina (Michelle Stafford) then made things worse by kidnapping her daughter and running to Canada with her, before she was found by police and taken into custody. Ava was then also taken into police custody as well after her confession for murder-meaning she has not had the ability to really bond with her daughter yet.

However, as she prepares to head to prison for her crimes, she will be given one last chance to see and hold her daughter before she is locked away behind bars, as she prepares to say her goodbyes to Silas (Michael Easton) and Kiki (Kristen Aldersen), who have taking care of the baby in her absence.

Franco and Nina Are Caught

"Just let me hold my little girl one more time," she says to a guard in a preview clip for the Monday, Jan. 5 episode.

Unfortunately for Ava, she will also learn that Sonny was the one who fathered her child-not his son, Morgan (Bryan Craig), which Ava had hoped for. The new information will be tough for Ava to overcome, because not only will that mean Sonny could have access to her if either one of them is ever released from prison, but it also means that her child will have neither of her parents there with her during her childhood.

In the meantime, Sonny will also finally learn that he's a father again, after Morgan pays him a visit at Pentonville to let him know what has happened.

"There's something else I need to tell you," Morgan says in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
