Pulliam, who played Rudy Huxtable on The Cosby Show, was fired during the premiere of The Celebrity Apprentice on Sunday because she did not enlist the help of costar Bill Cosby in a task for charity. The actress was the project manager of her team and was asked to raise funds through selling pies, but she did not call Cosby to make a donation.

When host Donald Trump asked her why she did not enlist Cosby, Pulliam admitted that she has not spoken with him in awhile.

"I have not talked to Bill Cosby on the phone in I don't know how long," she said in the boardroom. "For me to pick up the phone having not talked to you for five years, except for when we run into each other for a Cosby event, I feel that's not my place to do."

Trump explained that Pulliam failing to call Cosby was what caused her team to lose the challenge and justified this as his reason for firing her.

With Cosby's reputation turning worse and worse, there was some controversy that Trump would choose to fire her over this. However, Trump took to Twitter to explain that The Celebrity Apprentice had been filmed before the Cosby allegations became prevalent.

The Celebrity Apprentice airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
