Criminal Minds has made the top ten list for highest-rated broadcast series in 2014, according to a new report.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the CBS procedural stood at number nine in the list, and was "aging most gracefully" and season 10 getting an average rating of 3.9 among adults 18-49.
The fact that the show is doing well is also evidenced by the fact that the network is looking to launch a spin-off of the show this year. The series is getting a new spinoff, the premise for which is set to be teased in the current season.
Show's Spinoff Sets Sights On Foreign Affairs Like Homeland?
Entertainment Weekly reported that the project will be about a "division of the FBI that helps American citizens who find themselves in trouble abroad." The episode which will give fans a taste of the spinoff will air later in season 10 of Criminal Minds. But the new show is set to have a new star cast.
The report also revealed that the spin-off pilot will be shot in February next year. Criminal Minds's Erica Messer will be helming this project as well, and Mark Gordon and Nick Pepper will be serving as executive producers.

This season's latest episode aired on earlier this month, and the show is now on a brief hiatus for the christmas holidays but is set to return in January.
In the episode Ben Savage will be guest starring as a young Gideon.
