Lindsay Lohan Theft: Actress Now A 'Person Of Interest,' But Home Owner Says Nothing Was Actually Stolen
Lindsay Lohan is now a "person of interest" in the theft case stemming from a Hollywood party she attended earlier this week, but the case may soon disappear.
Lohan was invited to the party and brought along her brother Cody, her assistant and two other men. By the next morning, the home's owner said he was missing several valuables and he called police and told them he thought the two men who came with Lohan were responsible.
Police questioned the actress at the time, but when she asked, "Am I a suspect?" and was told he was not, Lohan blew them off and left the party immediately.
But the case may not go on much longer, as the home owner now says nothing was actually stolen.
Lohan's father Michael Lohan, with whom she has a notoriously rocky relationship, told TMZ he spoke with the owner himself.
"After personally speaking with the homeowner, there was nothing stolen from his home," Lohan's dad said. "Lindsay has no involvement and the owner has told the cops that."
TMZ reported that as of now, the case is still formally under investigation, but it's unlikely anything would move forward if the owner himself says there is no reason to move ahead.
