Kevin Hart News 2015: 'Wedding Ringer' Actor To Host 'SNL', Reveals He Auditioned For Show, 'They Passed On Me' [VIDEO]
Fan favorite Kevin Hart is slated to host an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live as he has revealed he once auditioned for the popular NBC comedy series.
Hart is all set to host on Jan. 17. While this is his second time leading Saturday Night Live, this time around he will promote his new film The Wedding Ringer, which actually hits theaters the day before and new comedy Top Five, in theaters now.
Sia will also hit the stage as the musical guest. This will be her first time but her hit song Chandelier has been used on the series earlier this season when Jim Carrey battled Kate McKinnon in a hilarious dance competition.

Even though Hart is a mega superstar and comedian now, he also revealed that he tried out to be on the show but wasn't selected.
According to USA Today he said, "Not only did I not get (the SNL job), I basically walked out there feeling like I had no talent. Little to my knowledge, years come afterwards, and I'm in a position to host SNL and tell that story. Everything happens for a reason, that's the moral to that story."
He was also able to laugh off the rejection during his first monologue on Saturday Night Live.
He told fans, "Back in the day, I actually auditioned for SNL. True story, people. I didn't get it. No, they passed on me...It's so long ago, you shouldn't think about it. You're talking about something that happened 67 months ago, 22 days, like 6 hours...It's fine, I'm over it."
