The new season of Call the Midwife is about to take on some twists and turns on love and tragedy based on the latest trailer.

'Call The Midwife' Actress Dishes On Her Character's 'Horrible Story'

Posted on Digital Spy on Wednesday, the trailer shows happy dancing when Charlotte Ritchie's character (Nurse Barbara Gilbert) shows up and announces herself as the new midwife. Chummy shows up as well where she gives a congratulatory remark although it's unclear if that's referenced towards Barbara or not.

There will of course be new babies born, but one woman might have some complications before she gives birth. But with the way the trailer ends, it sounds like this piece of news won't be so terrible since she can be seen holding a little newborn in her arms.

The clip then shows tears falling down as one woman in particular finds out some bad news about her husband...it will probably take only so many guesses to find out who this could be involving.

The promo moves into different moments with people losing their balance whether it's from walking or by riding a bicycle. Trixie is also going to receive a proposal, leaving mystery on what her answer is going to be.

The last moment that can be seen is the adorable face of a little infant and with all the babies that keep coming on the series, it looks like there will be plenty more newborns to look at.
