Chiklis certainly left an interesting mark on American Horror Story this year but he does not know if he will be back next season. He doesn't even know if they want him back.
"I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't," Chiklis admitted to Entertainment Weekly when asked if he would want to return for season 5. "I will say that I don't know that's going to happen. I don't know if they're interested in that happening. In all candor, I don't know what's going to happen at this moment. But would I go back there again and play with those people? In a heartbeat."
As for there being any potential for Dell to return, like how Ethel (Kathy Bates) returned as a ghost after her death, he said he was not at liberty to say.
"I'm not at liberty to tell you that. There's always a chance on that show. But I can't speak to the stuff ahead of it."
With only two episodes left of Freak Show, it's possible that Ryan Murphy and company will want to focus on the characters still alive going forward.
American Horror Story: Freak Show airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
