‘Sister Wives’ Season 6 Spoilers: Meet The New Family Which Will Introduce Themselves To The Browns In New Episode [VIDEO]
The inclusion of another polygamist family brought out some of the underlying issues that were facing the Brown family during season 5 of Sister Wives, but it appears the family will risk the possibility of more issues arising for them by meeting yet another polygamist family on their new season.
Will Kody and Robyn Be Having Problems In A Future Episode?
According to KTVQ News, the Collier family of Lockwood, Montana, will be making their debut on the Jan. 18 episode of the TLC series, where they will meet the Brown family for the first time.
In an interview with the television station, family patriarch Nathan Collier-who has two wives named Vicki and Christine-explained that they aren't afraid to now step out into the spotlight with their marriage, because they believe the show has helped pave the way to acceptance for families like theirs.
Janelle Opens Up About Her Feud With Meri
"What (Sister Wives) has done is they've paved the way for happy, functional families like ours to step forward, to come out of the shadows," Nathan said. "It's hard to appreciate until you've been there, how demoralizing, how degrading it is to feel like you have to hide your family."
"I'm not our shopping for wives, looking for wives, I don't believe in it," he added. "I refuse to associate with polygamists who do."
Though stepping into the spotlight isn't a concern for the family, it could become one for the Browns, who took a road trip to visit another family-the Richards-during their last season. And Rebecca Richards, the first wife of Nathanael Richards, confessed to feeling betrayed initially when her husband talked about taking on a second wife-something Kody's first wife, Meri, admitted to also feeling once upon a time.
During the episode, Meri confessed to still having 'First wife feelings,' where she expressed that she wasn't always happy about sharing her husband with three other women.
"I'm happy on the good days and when Kody shows love and affection, but on a bad day, I question my importance to the family and if Kody still cares about me," she said during the episode.
If meeting another family once again causes Meri to confess to her feelings, it could cause another potential rift within the Brown family.
Sister Wives airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on TLC.
