Netflix Dishes On Plans For 'Longmire'

Tost has remained a strong voice for the Longmire writers on Twitter ever since the series got picked up by Netflix for a fourth season. He's posted comments from the writers room, which reconvened in December to begin penning new episodes.

Longmire is deeply rooted in fine writing. The crime drama is based on the popular book series of the same name written by author Craig Johnson, who has also remained active with the television adaptation of the series.

The quality of the show's writing was also one of the points made by fans following A&E's decision to cancel Longmire in 2014. Despite having been the network's highest-rated scripted series at the time it received the axe, Longmire lingered in limbo for months before Netflix decided the revive the program.

Production is set to begin in March.

Longmire will likely return for a fourth season during the later half of 2015.
