Alway was 20 at the time she took part in the reality TV show in 2007. She finished in third place and went on to appear on Tyra Banks' Modelville where she came in second place.

CBS Local 2 got the chance to interview her from custody before the holidays and part one was released on Monday while part two released Tuesday. In the interview the former ANTM contestant talks about how she couldn't comprehend how she went from being a model to a felon.
Alway revealed after her brief success on ANTM and Banks' spin-off, "It was just closed door after closed door, after closed door and that was really hard to take."
She shared she didn't recognize herself when she was breaking into homes and more, but recalls she "remembers bits and pieces" from the day she had the standoff and ultimately ended up in handcuffs.
She said once she sobered up she realized, "This was the path I chose" and called shaving her head a "metamorphosis" since she's ready to move forward.
The now 28-year-old said she felt like a failure since she couldn't get beyond the stigma of appearing on a reality TV show, but her own choices also brought her to the point of where she ended up.
She revealed, "I can't really say," when asked if she hadn't appeared on reality TV.
"I would never tell somebody not to go for their dreams, " she added. She said she'd "give a word of caution" though.
