The winter finale of The Walking Dead was full of twists and turns and unfortunately Beth was killed, but now there are even more surprises.

On Wednesday The Hollywood Reporter reported that Ross Marquant, from Down and Dangerous, is the newest member of the cast, but what role will the actor be playing?

According to the site, it's unclear which character Ross will portray but he will be making his debut in the second half of the season and will probably be returning for the sixth season as well.

The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman didn't go into detail about Marquant's new role but he did say that the predominantly gay character would be introduced when the season returns next month.

Early speculation suggests that the new cast member will be portraying the role of Aaron, an Alexandria resident from the zombie series.

Only time will tell who the actor will be playing, so fans will have to tune in to the season 5 second half to find out, and to see what happens next.

The Walking Dead returns to Sunday nights a in just a few short weeks. The mid season premiere airs on Feb. 8 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
