Katy Perry Popchips, Ad Campaign Photos: New Image Claims 'Nothing Fake About 'Em'' [PICTURES]
Singer Katy Perry became a minority investor in the snack company Popchips, Inc. in July when she joined celebrities Heidi Klum, Jillian Michaels and Ashton Kutcher as part owners of the on-the-rise food company. Now, Perry has taken her latest venture even further by becoming a spokesperson for the crunchy snack, appearing in a new set of upcoming print ads.
The respective chips campaign will be going national and is slated to be put into circulation over the upcoming weekend.
The ads will feature the 27-year-old posing in portrait-style and color pictures. Some of the slogans that will be used as headlines will be "Love. Without the handles" and "Spare me the guilt chip."
However, the most notable of the headlines will read "Nothing fake about 'em,' " as the voluptuous Perry raises two bags of the chips in front of her breasts.
Designed by the ad agency Zambezi, the advertisements will be gracing the pages of popular magazines such as Elle, Cosmopolitan, Us Weekly and People, among others.
Popchips' latest promotional rollout with Perry will come just four months after they suffered widespread scrutiny by using Kutcher in a four-character campaign, also ran by the same ad agency.
The company received several complaints of racism when the "Two And A Half Men" star played an Indian named Raj in one of the promos.
Setbacks aside, Popchips was been considered one of America's top 20 most promising companies in 2011 by Forbes magazine.
