When asked what her first thoughts were when she heard her name, her response was: "I didn't hear my name- I got a text from my mom which is how I found out! It's also her birthday today so it's a double celebration. It's a pretty great day."

When asked how she would celebrate the nomination, her answer was: "By trying not to talk, taking naps and doing a show tonight at the Kit Kat Klub! I'm imagining Alan's dressing room "Club Cummings" might by hopping!"

Of course, she has no idea what an Oscar nomination will mean for her career: "I have no idea. I'm not sure that I will ever know what this means overall. It's a wonderful, very strange feeling. Nothing I can really wrap my head around quite yet. It's just an honor."

Los Angeles Times reported that Stone had a bit more of a colorful reaction that finished in explexitives.

"Well, this is surreal. I am completely knocked out. Thank you to the academy for this incredible honor. I am very proud and lucky to be a part of 'Birdman' and can't believe it came to this," she said.
