The former Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star purchased a 3,225-square-foot house in Georgia with four bedrooms for $149,000, TMZ reported Friday. (See the photos here.)
The website noted that it's the same house Mama June was caught visiting with convicted sex offender Mark McDaniel along with her daughter Honey Boo Boo in September.
Mama June Spotted Looking For Homes
Mama June's connection with McDaniel is the reason her and her family were dropped from the network. TLC cancelled the popular television show following news that Mama June rekindled her relationship with the 53-year-old sex offender, who was imprisoned in 2004 for molesting Mama June's daughter, Anna Cardwell, when she was eight. Mama June denied the allegations of their reunion.
Her daughter, Anna, spoke with media shortly after the news broke and said she feels betrayed by her mother's actions.
"It gives me a lot of emotions," the 20-year-old told the Entertainment Tonight in October. "I'm mad. I'm upset. I feel betrayed. I feel very hurt. That's the main thing that I am - I feel very hurt that Mama let him come around."
Mama June, 35, also sat down with the news outlet in November to tell her side of the story and revealed she has "nothing to hide." She said she only saw McDaniel twice since he left prison and one time was only by coincidence. The planned meeting was in attempt for her other daughter, Pumpkin, to get closure from McDaniel, whom she thought was her biological father.
