On Wednesday, Time reported that Buckinham Palace released the list of official gifts given to the royal family in 2014.
Though there are the expected gifts--wine, plaques, framed paintings, jewels--there were some surprises.

One suprising gift that was given to Queen Elizabether was a miniature throme from the Game of Thrones series. Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, received a PhD thesis. Prince Harry recieved a decommissioned automatic rifle. Meanwhile, Prince Andrew received 12 boxes of mangos, an Arctic Monkey's CD and Hillary Clinton's Hard Choices.
The list didn't include the names of who gifted the strange items, so there isn't a way of telling if Hillary Clinton gifted her book to Prince Andrew herself.
In Time's report it said that Prince William and Kate Middleton received numerous gifts, but their descriptions were so vague, that there was no way to know if any of them were unusual.Their list included things like "book" or "selection of condiments."
Apparently, though, these gifts weren't the most unusual in royal family history. Over the years, Queen Elizabeth has gotten even stranger ones including live animals. She received seceral horses, a canary from Germany, jaguars and sloths from Brazil, two black beavers from Canada, two young giant turtles from the Seychelles and an elephant from the Caeroon that is named Jumbo.
Queen Elizabeth doesn't care for these animals herself; the more exotic of them are cared for by the London Zoo.
