'Empire' TV Show: Jamal Lashes Out After Cookie 'Pins' Him Against Hakeem, Lucious Identified As Best Friend's Killer [VIDEO]
Jamal and Hakeem managed to stay close on Fox's Empire, but now that Lucious and Cookie are going head-to-head, it looks like the two brothers' relationship is in danger as Jamal continues to stand up to Lucious and faces a life-threatening incident.

In a trailer for the upcoming episode, Hakeem's career continues to expand and boost as he lives out the wild boy and crazy lifestyle. Cookie challenges Jamal to follow suit, but he seems to have an issue with it.
She tells him, "Hakeem is good. But you are more talented..."

Jamal asks, "Will you stop pinning me against him? He is my brother."
What he might not know is Hakeem is out to "inherit the kingdom."
As for his relationship with his father, Jamal reaches his boiling point when Lucious attacks his sexuality.
Lucious tells him, "I didn't bring any women into this world. And to see my son become somebody's b****...."
Jamal makes it clear where he stands and tells Lucious, "My obedience is no longer for sell."
Cookie faces issues of her own that include a hitman, federal agents coming after her and of course all of the drama going on with Empire. Jamal gets wind of his mother's worries and before he knows it, he is confronted with a gun to his head by a group of men.
It's not clear who they are or who sent them, but Jamal attempts to remain calm. Meanwhile, Lucious tries to stay close to the murder case after he shot and killed his best friend. What catches him by surprise is that homeless man saw the whole thing and identifies Lucious as the shooter.
