A long-lost Mikaelson made a spooky return on The Originals this week.

Rebekah (Claire Holt) was still trapped in the body of an imprisoned witch (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) on Monday, though her captivity could lead to one shocking discovery: Freya Mikaelson.

Freya won't be the only one surprising fans this season. On Monday executive producer Michael Narducci told Entertainment Weekly that Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley's (Phoebe Tonkin daughter isn't just a helpless baby.

Hope (Alexandria Collins) is slowly growing into an "unstoppable" force on the series. As a vampire, werewolf, and witch, Hope is certainly one unique hybrid. "You will see some advancement in that plot in these first batch of episodes," teased Narducci.

Creator Julie Plec added that "good parenting is very important" with Hope as it will determine whether or not her powers are used for good or evil.

As for Freya's return, executive producer Michael Narducci teased on Twitter Tuesday that her time on the show has only just begun.

While Rebkeka isn't aware of Freya's presence in the witch house just yet, she's likely to have another run in with her long-lost sister soon.

With Rebekah and Freya trapped in the same house and an evolving baby Hope on his hands, Klaus will be rather busy in the next few episodes.

The Originals continues on The CW with its second season Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
