'Reign' Season 2 Spoilers: Could The Series Stay On The Air For At Least Two More Years? [VIDEO]
Reign hasn't even finished its second season and there's already some chatter saying that it might stay on the air for at least a couple more years.
Chatter On Bash's Discovery About Francis On 'Reign'
On Tuesday, TV By The Numbers posted the details on the royal drama and how it's been renewed for a third season. While that's already some good news for the fans, there might be something even better for them to know- there could potentially be a fourth season as well.
According to the site, it apparently depends on how many episodes the series gets in the third season; if it gets a full 22 episodes, then it is "guaranteed a season four renewal."
'Reign' Gets Renewed For A Third Season
The same goes for The Originals, which is at the same status of Reign.
One show on The CW that's more questionable of an extra season is The 100 because it only had 13 episodes in season one and 16 in season two. So at this point, it doesn't seem to matter how many episodes it gets in the third season because it wouldn't guarantee a fourth.
Some other shows on The CW that have been renewed for a new season this year are Jane the Virgin, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Arrow and The Flash.
Hart of Dixie had a little sad face next to it on the site- meaning that it's certain to be cancelled by May 2015.
Reign returns with new episodes on Thursday, January 22 at 9 p.m. ET.
