Matthew McConaughey Might Be Planning A 'True Detective' Cameo For 2015
While season 1 took place in Louisiana, the crime drama's second installment will follow the murder of a city manager in California. The cast includes Vince Vaughn (career criminal Frank Semyon), Colin Farrell (Detective Ray Velcoro), Rachel McAdams (Detective Ani Bezzerides), and Taylor Kitsch (Officer Paul Woodrugh). Creator Nic Pizzolatto will write all of the episode just as he did with season 1, with multiple directors stepping in to take over for Emmy winner Cary Fukunaga.
A premiere date has yet to be announced, though the show seems poised to take over True Blood's old summer slot. This will also help maximize momentum coming off the latest season of Game of Thrones this spring.
