MTV VMAs 2012: List of Nominees, Who Will Steal The Show?
Premiere musical performers and celebrities will dominate the stage this Thursday, Sept. 6, at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles. With a star-studded lineup as always, many are itching to see just who will steal the show.
Singing sensation Demi Lovato will be on hand to perform her hit "Give Your Heart A Break" during the pre-show to the event.
VMA mainstay Taylor Swift will also be gracing the stage to sing a new song from her upcoming album titled "Red."
On Sept. 2, Swift touched on some of the pre-stage butterflies that a performer can face, according to MTV.
"The thing about the VMAs is, the people that help put together the performances are honestly some of the best people you have ever worked with and they put together these huge, vast, massively entertaining performances. You have to make sure that you are ready to go onstage and face the entire world of music fans that are watching that show," she said.
Even though Swift and Lovato are not newbies to the awards show, British boyband One Direction is indeed. The first timers will look to make an impact on American soil, amongst other notable musicians performing and nominated.
Serving to keep enthusiasm at its highest, stars Rihanna and Pink will headline the night while the controversial rapper Frank Ocean and alterior rock standouts Green Day will look to add some heaviness to several other light performances as well as the award's festivities.
