While the vague concept of "space" has been speculated to be the theme of season 5 of FX's American Horror Story, one of the show's stars is pretty confident that this is not true.

Twitter Reacts To Jessica Lange's Departure from 'American Horror Story,' 'A Moment Of Silence'

American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson was recently interviewed by Elvis Duran and the Morning Show where she talked what she knew about season 5.

"I, maybe, know a thing or two, but the great thing about this and the great thing about [co-creator] Ryan [Murphy] is he knows just enough of what to say and you get sort of excited, and then it takes a sharp left turn and it becomes something else. So I have no idea really where it's going to land," Paulson admitted, as seen in the video below.

She essentially ruled out the idea of a space-themed season, saying that she hasn't heard anything about that from producers.

Many fans have taken to the theory that season 5 could be about Area 51, the secret facility in Nevada plagued with rumors about UFOs and alien life. There were innumerable clues in Freak Show suggesting this, from the location being Jupiter, Fla., Elsa's (Jessica Lange) last name being "Mars" and plenty of symbolism in between.

However, FX president John Landgraf told critics at the TCA press tour this month that season 5 would take place in present day, so a historical site like Area 51 might not be best served in a contemporary setting.

It's still up in the air as to what the theme will be but fans should probably expect an announcement in March, as Murphy previously revealed the Freak Show theme last March.

American Horror Story is expected to return for season 5 in October on FX, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date.
