It appears as though Katy Perry and John Mayer have indeed rekindled their relationship. The two were seen together heading out of a romantic Los Angeles restaurant called The Little Door this past Tuesday, Sept. 4, just before midnight.

However, the celebrity couple appeared to have a tough time with the paparazzi while attempting to leave the eatery. As they made their way out to Mayer's gray Land Rover, a swarm of media photographers surrounded the vehicle while continuously snapping away at the duo, blinded by all the flashes.

Perry was sporting a laid-back look by donning gray pants and a turquoise floral top, while Mayer was wearing a flannel button-down shirt with his sleeves rolled up, showing off his slew of tattoos.

According to TMZ, the two reportedly broke up a few weeks back after seemingly dating throughout the summer.

A source close to Hollywood Life said on Aug. 24 that a previously torn up Perry had the following thoughts on their reported breakup.

"She's really upset about it. She is making it seem like it wasn't serious with John, but she is hurt. She doesn't want to get her heart broken again," the source said at the time. "But she feels a real connection and wants to see where things go."

The pair were first spotted alongside one another at the Soho House on June 19 and then again at a friend's pool bash getting touchy-feely on Aug. 4.

Rumors of an apparent split began dying down when the famous couple was seen partaking in some public display of affection at the FYT music festival in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday. The two also partied it up in the VIP area and danced together while watching bands such as Purity King, M83 and Sleigh Bells take the stage
