'Beetlejuice 2' News: Winona Ryder Gives Update On Possible Sequel, 'It Looks Like It's Really Happening' [VIDEO]
'Attention, K-Mart shoppers!' It looks like a sequel to Beetlejuice is really going to happen.
'Beetlejuice' & Other Films Expected To Get A Sequel
On Sunday, MTV posted a brief interview with Winona Ryder who's known for playing that gothic, depressed Lydia in the classic Tim Burton film starring Michael Keaton. When it was brought up that a second movie might happen, Ryder seemed not just enthusiastic about it, but that it's more than likely going to be made at some point.
"Other than it looks like it's really happening," the actress said. "I'm so thrilled for Michael [Keaton] with everything, it couldn't have happened to a greater guy, and Birdman was so brilliant, and I loved him, and I would be so... I'm really, really excited."

The site also posted a clip with Burton who mentioned that he would be down to direct the film. He also said that Ryder would be returning as well.
As of now, there's no word on when the film could come out since it's been talked about for a good while, but if Ryder and Burton are both looking forward to it, then perhaps fans might want to anticipate saying that name three times all over again.
The original Beetlejuice starred Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis as two people who get killed in an accident and come back as ghosts. When a dysfunctional family moves into their house, Davis and Baldwin's characters contact the main ghost of all to help them find a way to scare these people out of their home.
