Josh Hartnett Might Be Preparing For A Third Season Of 'Penny Dreadful'

It looks like things might just get a bit bloody towards the end of Penny Dreadful's second season. On Monday both producer Christopher King and director James Hawes teased on Twitter that they needed to protect the cameras from something.

Considering the fact that Hawes has been prepping a few action sequences this week, it's likely that this scene has something to do with the violence ahead.

In addition to some extensive production prep, Makeup Designer and Key Prosthetic Makeup Artist Sarita Allison revealed that an all new character will be appearing towards the end of the season. While Allison didn't reveal much and offered up no photos, one thing is for certain: this character will be a tragic one.

Production for the series will continue this week in Dublin.

Penny Dreadful returns on Showtime for a second season on APril 26 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
