Lachlan Buchanan had his first day on set of The Young and the Restless on Tuesday.

Last Tuesday it was announced via Soap Opera Digest that Buchanan officially got the role of Kyle Jenkins Abbot, which was previously Hartley Sawyer's role.
The 24-year-old actor seemed delighted to be joining the soap opera, revealing, "It's going to be a fun challenge and I'm really looking forward to playing Kyle."

On Jan. 25, the Australian actor shared he couldn't wait "to start this week" on the daytime show.
Buchanan reported for his first day on set on Tuesday, Jan. 27 and documented it on Twitter and Instagram.
Last Thursday he teased he would be working with Hunter King who portrays Summer Newman Travers once he got on set since his character would be making his return to Genoa City.
King further teased fans of the show by saying they would "have to wait and see".
Buchanan shared he definitely worked with King during his first scene as Kyle, but he also revealed he worked with Greg Rikaart who portrays Kevin Fisher. "First scene down and I was on the edge of laughing the entire time," Buchanan revealed.
He will first appear in the Feb. 25 episode.
The Young and the Restless airs on weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
