A new teaser for season 3 of House of Cards shows a bedraggled, pensive Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey), looking out with an air of hopelessness about him.

Latest Updates About The Plot Of Season 3 Of House of Cards

The 15-second clip was released via the show's official Twitter account, teasing the release which is just a month away. Frank is seen sitting in the airforce one, looking considerably older, looking out, in very tense posture.

About a week ago, a mini promo teaser, which is only ten seconds long, highlights the sense of hopelessness in the White House in season 3 of House of Cards.

The clip shows the dome of the white house against a backdrop of an overcast, pregnant with dark clouds, as a tag line appears, stating: "Remove hope from the equation." This tease was posted to the show's Twitter account on January 21.

The first official trailer draws attention to the downward spiral Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) might start riding, as he is seen distraught, and the show seems to be getting much darker.

The clip is set to a tempestuous pulse, as Frank and Claire (Robin Wright) get swallowed into a vortex of deceit, dirty international politics and what looks to be a war situation. The coffins of soldiers are lowered into the grave, while Frank is seen making deals with the premier of another country (possibly Russia?) in the trailer.

At one point, the man in question is seen unabashadly kissing Claire at a party right in front of Frank. Toward the end of the preview, there are glimpses of a broken down, resigned Frank and Claire is seen telling him that they are murderers. But seems like Frank will still sustain that good ol cold blooded, ruthless spirit, as he is seen correcting her by letting her no that they are not murderers but survivors.

The third season will premiere on February 27, 2015.
