After nearly seven months off set, the cast of the MTV drama will return to work in early February, according to Linden Ashby. With two scripts already in the hands of the actors, devote fans are itching to know what's in store for the 20-episode fifth season.
Dispite a very quiet hiatus, series creator Jeff Davis dished out a few hints following the season 4 finale. As the series looks to further Kira (Arden Cho), Derek (Tyler Hoechlin), Liam (Dylan Sprayberry), Parrish (Ryan Kelley), and Braeden's (Meagan Tandy) storylines, it looks like season 5 will have plenty of plot points to play with.
"We love those complicated mythologies. I'm a huge fan of Lost, and I'm the kind of person who likes a lot of mystery, the kind of mystery where not everything is always explained," Davis teased, according to Entertainment Weekly, adding that Kira's first tail, Parrish's supernatural identity, and the mystery of the Desert Wolf will all be explored.
