‘Fortitude’ Premiere News: Cast Led By Stanley Tucci & A Riveting Story That Joseph Gordon-Levitt Thinks Is ‘Good’ [VIDEOS]
Fortitude is a British drama and psychological thriller that airs tonight, Jan. 29 on Pivot.
This is Pivot's first scripted drama and it has an all-star cast, including Stanley Tucci (past credits include The Hunger Games and Easy A) as an expert forensic detective DCI Morton.
It's an ensemble cast and other cast members include Michael Gambon as Henry Tyson, a wildlife photographer who is terminally ill; Richard Dormer as Sheriff Dan Anderssen; Christopher Eccleston as Professor Charlie Stoddart; Sofie Gråbøl as Hildur Odegard, the governor of Fortitude; Sienna Guillory as Natalie Yelburton, a beautiful and brilliant scientist; Nicholas Pinnock as Frank Sutter, a search-and-rescue pilot; Jessica Raine as Jules Sutter who moved to Fortitude with her husband Frank; Luke Treadaway as Vincent Rattrey, a talented young scientist and Verónica Echegui as Elena Ledesma, a new arrival in Fortitude with a dark secret.

"Fortitude is a place like nowhere else. Surrounded by the savage beauty of the frozen landscape, the small town in the Arctic Circle is one of the safest towns on Earth. There has never been a violent crime here. Until now," Pivot explained on its website about the thrilling drama.
"In this close-knit community, a murder touches everyone, and the unsettling horror of the crime threatens the future of the town itself. In Fortitude, it's not just the cold that kills," Pivot's site further, explained of the show's premise.
Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt is even behind this series. On Tuesday he tweeted his 3.45 million followers about the "arctic thriller" and called it "GOOD" and urged them all to check it out Thursday when it premieres.
Fortitude has 12 episodes for the season.
Fortitude's premiere is a two-hour special starting at 10 p.m. ET on Pivot tonight, Jan. 29 and it will continue to air on Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET.
