A year after Beyonce' revealed a baby bump on stage following an electrifying performance at the 2011 MTV VMAs, Amber Rose and her fiance', rapper Wiz Khalifah announced that they are expecting a baby at this year's award ceremony.

Rose, 28, arrived on the red carpet showing off her baby bump in her stunning nude gown with black lace overlay. She topped the look with a cropped platinum blonde haircut with a side part in her hair.

On a red carpet interview with MTV host Sway, Khalifah rubbed his finace's bulging belly while sharing the news.

"Well, Sway, you know you my brother man, so we had to do it with you first and we had to do it with the whole world, and just let everybody know that we're expecting a beautiful young baby," said the award-winning rapper. "We're having a baby!" he screamed.

Khalifah, 24, firmly planted a kiss on his fiancée, a Smirnoff model. After Sway congratulated the couple, Khalifah revealed why he'd like to have a boy.

He admitted he has hopes he can "teach him how to rap and be a real good MC."

The couple, considered one of hip-hop industry's hottest pairs, confirmed the news after several reports leaked last month that Rose was expecting.

"Amber and Wiz unexpectedly got pregnant, but they're really happy to be starting a family together," a source told Radar Online.

Khalifah announced that he proposed to on March 1, 2012 showing off the ring on Twitter.

"She Said Yes!!!" he tweeted, with a picture of Amber sporting an oval-cut diamond ring.

"He made me the Happiest Woman in the World!!!!" Rose tweeted.

In an earlier MTV interview, Rose discussed how her relationship with the "Black and Yellow" rapper blossomed.

"When we met, we fell in love and then he moved to L.A. and he wound up moving in my building and we just started our life like that together," she said. "It's good, we're not married yet, and it's good that we still have our separate places. I have a lot of clothes, so my clothes are not going to fit in his condo at all."

Khalifah was recently mentioned in Forbes magazine's list of Hip-Hop's Top Earners. The Midwest rapper tied with Rick Ross having earned a reported $9 million in the past year. He has won and American Music Award for Best New Artist and Billboard Music Award.

Rose became famous when she began dating rapper Kanye West in 2008 until the summer of 2010. She has modeled for Louis Vuitton, made several television appearances as herself and currently stars in the print and television ads for Smirnoff vodka.

The couple's child is reportedly due in January and will be the first for both Rose and Khalifah. The couple are rumored to have moved up their winter wedding to October, 2012
