'The 100' Season 2 Spoilers: Lincoln's Drug Addition Will Not 'Go Away', Ricky Whittle & EP Tease Dark Problem [VIDEO]
Lincoln's drug addition isn't about to magically disappear on the 100.
The Grounder is in a the middle of a dangerous mission, one that holds the lives of all three factions in the balance, but that didn't stop him from feeding his demons during "Survival of the Fittest." Unfortunately for Bellamy, the former Reaper won't enter a 12-step program as he continues into Mount Weather.
"Drugs are a real problem, and we want to be true to that," actor Ricky Whittle (Lincoln) told Zap2It. "You see a lot of TV shows where sometimes things just disappear, and we wanted to stay true to the fact that he was a drug addict. He was weaned onto this red drug and that's not something that will go away. ... He wasn't strong enough to fight it despite everything on the line."
Now that he has his poison of choice on hand, Lincoln will probably get worse before he gets better.
"Addiction never goes away," executive producer Jason Rothenberg warned. "We wanted to tell that story truthfully."
