The sexist SSR agent and the fierce, yet severely underestimated, Peggy Carter will move past their brusque interactions, possibly to the point of romance.
"The first few episodes I was saying, like, 'You are dead. I have no time for you, I will put you in your place,'" Atwell said of Peggy's early exchanges with Chad Michael Murray's character, according to Entertainment Weekly. "But then they go off and do a mission together and she learns some things about him, which makes her see him in a completely different way. By the very fact that he opens up to her, he is starting to trust her a little bit more, and that changes their relationship quite a bit."

The mission Atwell is referring to will take place in episode 5, "The Iron Ceiling." Carter will team up with the Howling Commandos once more, albeit with the unwelcome presence of Agent Thompson. While spending time with Jack could compromise her work with Howard Stark, it also carefully opens the door to a romantic relationship.
