NCIS showrunner and executive producer Gary Glasberg recently shared some insight on what's coming up for some of the show's characters.

Find Out What's To Come In The Next Couple Of Episodes Of 'NCIS' For Season 12

NCIS is currently airing its twelfth season, which has been full of action, heartache and of course drama, but there's still much more to come.

On Thursday, FOX411 published an interview with Glasberg, in which he discussed what's to come for Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette), Timothy McGee (Sean Murray, Delilah Fielding (Margo Harshman), Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) and Tony's dad (Robert Wagner).

'NCIS' Showrunner Shares Details On Next Three Episodes

Glasberg shared that this is a possibility Abby will be featured in an upcoming episode in a big way.

"Any time I can shine a light on Pauley Perrette, that's a good thing. Absolutely. It's a matter of finding the niche. Our writers love to write for her," he revealed.

Delilah and McGee are currently doing long distance, but she will "resurface" and Glasberg said it would be "Later in the spring" when viewers will see her again.

The executive producer also shared McGee's career as an author is currently on hold since his relationship with Delilah "is the next bit of personal stuff" to get into with him.

He mentioned that when McGee wrote that letter to his dad at Christmas time, it was actually the first time he was back at a typewriter "in a very long time."

Ziva could always return according to Glasberg.

"We very intentionally didn't kill her. As far as anyone knows, she is living in Israel and her life is moving forward. We will have to see organically what works in the future. But it is something that we think about," he divulged.

Lastly, viewers will get to see more of Tony interacting with his dad since Wagner will return as Senior.

"Right now, we are starting a new episode with Robert Wagner. That will be coming up a little later in the spring," Glasberg said, adding, "I feel that it just adds to Michael's already terrific performance to see how Tony deals with family situations and other relationships."

NCIS airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
