Rihanna and Chris Brown Kiss at VMAs; 'She'd Do Anything For Him,' Source Says [VIDEO]
Rihanna and Chris Brown shared a kiss and a hug at the 2012 MTV VMAs on Thursday night. The moment has stirred many comments considering the violent history Rihanna and Chris Brown have due to a physical abuse case 3 years ago that nearly cost them their careers.
The Rihanna and Chris Brown kiss, caught on the VMAs Seating Cam, came after Rihanna won Video of the Year for her "We Found Love" music video. Rihanna approached Brown in front of the LA Staples Center audience and the ex-couple hugged and kissed (apparently on the lips.) Afterwards, Rihanna passed her hand over Brown's hair.
According to Hollywood Life, a nameless source that is close to Rihanna says the Barbados singer would do anything to get closer to Brown.
"That's obvious. Hell yeah, she would. [There isn't anything] she wouldn't do for [him]," the source said. "She'd do just about anything for him.''
During in interview on Oprah's Next Chapter last month, Rihanna admitted that she is still in love with Brown who famously assaulted her in 2009.
"We love each other and we probably always will, and that's not anything that we're going to try to change," Rihanna said to Oprah.
"He was my first love and I see that he loved me the same way," Rihanna continued. "I truly love him. The main thing for me is he's at peace. I'm not at peace if he's not happy or he's still lonely. I care. It actually matters that he finds that peace."
The 24-year-old explained to Winfrey how her relationship with Brown spiraled out of control in 2009: "We were very young and very spontaneous. We were falling in love and going at a really rapid pace. We forgot about ourselves as individuals."
Following the arrest for domestic violence after assaulting Rihanna in 2009, the R&B singer received five years of probation and one year of domestic-violence counseling. Rihanna said she was able to forgive Brown after she worked on her relationship with her father, Ronald Fenty.
Brown is currently dating model Karrueche Tran. His career stalled the first two years following the arrest, however, he topped the music charts for the past year and also won himself a Grammy this year.
