On Thursday, the actress was proud to announce that the ABC political thriller was finally back, and with her birthday and Super Bowl XLIX landing on the same weekend, it's safe to say that Washington had fun-filled days.
The Scandal star also visited Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday where she joked that she has the only birthday with a half time.
Kerry Washington Preps For The Return Of 'Scandal'
Washington admitted that because her birthday has fallen on Super Bowl Sundays before, she feels like the whole nation is partying just for her.
This year, her birthday didn't fall on the same day as the Super Bowl, but it looks like A-list celebs, her co-stars and her fans have been celebrating all weekend long.
Washington's fans took to Twitter to share special birthday greetings with their favorite actress, where she responded with a heartfelt message.
