LAPD Detective Marty Deeks will find himself in some hot water during episode 18 (filming as 616), and it seems his predicament will result in a little extra trouble for his partner.

"E616 is [writer Andrew Bartels] best yet! He's #NCISLA rising star!" executive producer Peter Kousakis teased on Sunday. "Who is tailing Kensi? It's a Deeks mystery. Does Hetty know?"

If Hetty does know who is following Kensi, the Office of Special Projects leader will still find herself in a bit of a tight spot.

"Prep of E616 written by [Bartels] begins this week," Kousakis tweeted at the end of January. "All I can say...What has Deeks done? Even Hetty is in a quandary."

The untitled episode is written by Bartels ("Humbug," "The Grey Man") and will be directed by fellow NCIS: LA vet Tony Wharmby ("Humbug," "One More Chance").
