'Thor: Ragnarok' News: Chris Hemsworth Leaving Marvel Series After 3rd Film? [VIDEO]
Christ Hemsworth may be sporting a new 'do these days, but the actor will soon be getting ready to return to those long golden locks when production begins for Thor: Ragnarok.
As the third installment in the Marvel series, the film will see the return of Tom Hiddleston as Loki and Hemsworth in the title role of Thor.
Hemsworth assured Digital Spy on Jan. 29 that the upcoming action flick will be "pretty big", though he admitted to knowing very little of the project so far.

"No, I can't," said Hemsworth when asked if he could divulge anything about the Ragnarok plot. "But also, there is no script for Thor, the next Thor, so I have no idea."
So are there any clues? Any hints as to what direction the film might take? Hemsworth has been pursuing more and more dramatic roles lately, with the recent release of Michael Mann's Blackhat and his upcoming Ron Howard project, In The Heart Of The Sea. It's possible then that this could be the actor's final turn as the hammer wielding god.
On Sunday Screen Rant suggested that the recent release of a female Thor in the Marvel comic books could give Hemsworth the opportunity to transition out of the franchise.
Ragnarok will be written by Craig Kyle and Thor: The Dark World co-writer Christopher Yost.
Thor: Ragnarok is scheduled to hit theatres July 28, 2017.
