Actor David Duchovny may be reprising his role in Twin Peaks when the show returns for a revival season in 2016.

Fans of Duchovny might not know that Duchovny actually had a memorable recurring role in Twin Peaks as transgender DEA Agent Denise Bryson. Wearing vibrant lipstick and a wig of long hair, Duchovny certainly made an impression.
Now, with the return of Twin Peaks set for 2016 on Showtime, Duchovny is hoping to reprise his character if they want him. The actor was asked by the Los Angeles Times if Twin Peaks and his other popular show The X-Files were really returning, and he suggested that this was essentially his comeback tour.

"Seems like it. I would bet on it if I were you. I think Twin Peaks is happening for sure," he said. "I hope my character comes back, I think she does. And then X-Files - Fox made some kind of shadowy announcement last week. Certainly, something's happening. Something's brewing. It's like the Eagles' greatest hits tour ... by me."
The only actor to have been officially announced as returning for more Twin Peaks is Kyle MacLachlan, who played Special Agent Dale Cooper. Other actors like Sheryl Lee and Dana Ashbrook have made announcements of their own returns, but Showtime has not confirmed anyone beyond MacLachlan.
The revival season will pick up 25 years after the events of the final episode of Twin Peaks back in 1991.
Twin Peaks returns to television in 2016 on Showtime, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date yet.
