Before rapper Kanye West was romantically involved with Kim Kardashian, he apparently used to watch his girlfriend's 2007 pornography video while getting it on with other women.

According to TMZ, multiple sources have first-hand knowledge of the respective situation, as West used to reportedly pop in Kardashian's sex tape so that he can better get himself in the mood.

It reportedly worked, as he would allegedly turn into a great lover while viewing the Armenian beauty's romp with her ex-boyfriend Ray J.

In a song by West titled "Way Too Cold," the star raps about Kardashian and even makes a lyrical mention of ex-hubby Kris Humphries.

"Yeah, I fell in love with Kim right around the same time she fell in love with him," he raps.

Urban Daily reported that West had been crushing on Kardashian back in 2009 and tried breaking her up with then boyfriend Reggie Bush so the two could be together. West's ex, Amber Rose, even made past accusations that the musician left her to be with Kardashian well before that. West dated Rose on and off from 2008 to the summer of 2010.

It was also said that Keri Hilson's 2009 hit single "Knock You Down" was secretly targeted at the "Keeping Up with The Kardashians" star.

When portions of the sexual footage became public in 2007, Kardashian and Ray J. made a deal with pornography producer Vivid Entertainment to market the video. She reportedly received $5 million dollars and a piece of the profits. She also went on to do a Playboy spread that same year.

Kardashian voiced her opinion in the past on the infamous x-rated tape by stating that she was humiliated by it, which she reiterated to Oprah Winfrey in June.

Many believe that the publicity over the tape is the reason behind the ongoing success of her family's reality program.
