'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie: Could Chris And Liam Hemsworth Be Casted Together?
Throughout the summer, many have been buzzing on who they think would make the perfect Christian Grey character in the movie adaptation of E.L. James' racy novel "Fifty Shades of Grey." The newest potential candidate on the internet rumor mill for the role of the billionaire-philanthropist is Thor's Chris Hemsworth.
With his 6'4" frame, the 29-year-old is said to embody the imposing build of the Grey character, according to Policymic.
The Aussie also has a set of deep blue eyes that would serve to seduce the Anastasia Steele character into trailing him into the "Red Room of Pain" and allowing Christian Grey to live out his fantasies.
In a May interview, Celebuzz had questioned Hemsworth on the possibility of being considered for the potential role:
"Ah, no someone mentioned it to me ... I was like, 'What is it? I dunno, maybe I'm interested.' I'm not going to say anything. I haven't read the book."
What would make the prospective role selection intriguing is that Hunger Games' Liam Hemsworth, Chris' real life brother, could easily play the part of Grey's brother Elliot for the future film.
However, the only disadvantage for such a casting move would be that the fictional characters of Christian and Elliot do not share biological parents and are adopted in the storyline. Hence, the two heart-throb siblings look too strikingly similar.
Also, the Hemsworth brothers would have to prevail against strong competition from the likes of Man of Steel's Henry Cavill, White Collar's Matt Bomer and Gangster Squads Ryan Gosling, amongst a slew of other potential suitors.
Up until this point, E.L. James and the producers attached to the future film version of the racy read have remained tight-lipped on the casting process. However, only time will tell who ends up with the highly-anticipated role of Christian Grey and also who will play his love interest, Anastasia Steele.
